Here at ppcpathways.com, we focus on providing our readers with reviews, tips, tricks, and tutorials for pocketpc's. Our original goal was to review products but lately we have been adding more tutorials and there are a few more in the works right now. After recently switching from Windows Media Player 10 to iTunes because of numerous reasons, I am searching for the best way to get music from iTunes on to my ipaq. Upon searching, I have found a few great programs that seem to do what this project requires, but I decided to suggest a few additions before writing the tutorial. It now depends on how quickly the companies that I have contacted to implement these features, but I will still go ahead and find a workaround to the problems I have discovered if this process is taking too long. In the meantime, enjoy our reviews and articles plus don't forget to check out our forums and search tools. Thanks for visiting and please be sure to check back!

(reminder that most counters before July 05 are very low due to site upgrades and are approximately double or triple what is shown)

Gift Pathways

Published: 11-28-07 at 08:05 PM

Everyone should check out my latest web site creation, Gift Pathways! The site lets everyone from a gift exchange signup and create/join a single common group (one person makes the group). Then, everyone has a wish list that they can add items to. The best part is that items can be marked as purchased but the recipient can't see this information! Also included are hidden surprise items, printable shopping lists by user or price range, commenting on items and wish lists, and much more! Be sure to use the site's contact link to tell me what you think! And please help spread the word because I want everyone who can use the site to use it. My family is using it and it's going very well.

J. River Media Center Syncs

Published: 05-03-07 at 04:33 PM

I use J River Media Center to manage all my music. It has incredible support for syncing devices. It will sync the iPod but most importantly, most PDAs can be synchronized so you can keep all your portable devices synced from one application. It is moderately priced but well worth the money, especially considering how often they update it and add new features. I have had a few requests that they added right in very quickly.

visKey - Picture Security Application

Published: 01-03-06 at 05:31 PM

Essential to business applications, portable devices must be secured properly. Users frequently find, however, that the password model can be cumbersome because similar or identical passwords might be used repeatedly in multiple locations. If one of those uses becomes insecure, the password may be in jeopardy. Amazingly enough, SFR GmbH software company has created a revolutionary program that goes beyond simple text entry. There are definite advantages to both methods of security, but visKey looks promising.

Ben's Latest Creation

Published: 11-17-05 at 06:54 PM

In an attempt to make school go a little smoother, I decided to start another brand new site. Currently named Collaboration, it helps students study in a collaborative fashion. Users create a quiz for an upcoming/eventual exam and if everyone viewing the quiz participates by adding new questions, the question pool will grow to be quite large. Speaking from experience, the current best scenario, as I see fit, is for a small portion of the class to add questions at the end of a specific day. In other words, each person should be assigned a certain day. (read more)

Pocket Atlantis 2.0 Released

The first version of Pocket Atlantis showed amazing support for graphing and other complex functions. This newer version looks even more promising. While I have not tried it yet, I may in the future. Some lines of work require the use of graphing calculators on a daily basis and having a graphing calculator with you on your Pocket PC would be a great help.

iTunes 5.0 Released

I have been waiting for this for a long time! My favorite new feature on first glance is the ability to use folders to organize playlists. The download is about 32.6mb and it just finished, so I'll install it right away and hopefully post some comments in a few days. I'll have to update my other computers with the new version as well. iTunes is my favorite music program and they keep making it better, so we'll see how much better. I hope they didn't disable any features I currently use, like accessing my database over my home network so I can use one database for my home computers.

ER6i Isolator Headphones

Published: 08-31-05 at 03:51 PM

These Etymotic headphones are truly amazing. It took a little bit of bravery on my part to spend the $80 or so for these (retails for $150), but after reading many reviews, they seemed interesting and I thought I would give them a try. They are truly amazing. The sound quality is very good and I am able to crank them to the point where I would not subject my hearing to anything more with my HX4700. Their higher-end version, the ER4, recommends using a dedicated portable amp and these might also recommend using one, but I for one would not ever need more volume.
