Here at ppcpathways.com, we focus on providing our readers with reviews, tips, tricks, and tutorials for pocketpc's. Our original goal was to review products but lately we have been adding more tutorials and there are a few more in the works right now. After recently switching from Windows Media Player 10 to iTunes because of numerous reasons, I am searching for the best way to get music from iTunes on to my ipaq. Upon searching, I have found a few great programs that seem to do what this project requires, but I decided to suggest a few additions before writing the tutorial. It now depends on how quickly the companies that I have contacted to implement these features, but I will still go ahead and find a workaround to the problems I have discovered if this process is taking too long. In the meantime, enjoy our reviews and articles plus don't forget to check out our forums and search tools. Thanks for visiting and please be sure to check back!

AA Battery Adapter

Published: 06-18-05 at 10:48 PM

It can be one of the worst realities for PocketPC users. You are relying on your device for an important project and you realize that the battery is very low. This can be even worse if you don't have your charger with you. Boxwave has attempted and pretty well solved this dilemma, as long as you remember to bring this battery adapter with you. The wonderful device can save you from being without your expensive device when you need it most.

Clear Touch Anti-Glare

Published: 06-18-05 at 10:47 PM

The amazing quality of the Clear Touch Crystal screen protectors was very impressive. How could the screen protectors get any better? The Anti-Glare screen protectors, made by the same company, Boxwave, seem to be much better for my situation with my iPaq because of their amazing ability to reduce glare from overhead lights and other distractions. The prices are identical and therefore, the user must determine what aspect is more important.

Magnum Case

Published: 06-18-05 at 10:45 PM

Finally, a case that matches the HX4700! Innopocket has created a case that is similar to their aluminum case, but weighs less and is stronger. Black also seems to be a better color for a case since the HX4700 is also close to black or gray. It is an interesting case with an interesting feature, which is that it opens by the top of the case with a strange hinge mechanism that can make using the device more challenging, or easier, depending if it is used to the users advantage or not.

Bejeweled 2

Published: 06-18-05 at 10:44 PM

Finally, PocketPC users can purchase a fully enabled VGA game. I understand that others are available, but considering the popularity of Bejeweled 1, this should be a great success. Even though I have never played Bejeweled 1, I can say that Bejeweled 2 is a joy to play. The graphics are very clear and everything looks so smooth and wonderful.

Clear Touch Crystal

Published: 06-18-05 at 10:43 PM

Screen protectors are very important. Almost all handheld devices with touch screens will develop scratches in the screen over time. This can decrease the resale value and be annoying. For a very long time, I have recommended NuShield for screen protectors. While they still have some features that I prefer, Boxwave makes a very compelling product. These new screen protectors, called the ClearTouch Crystal, are much easier to apply than I thought they would be and they block less light than the NuShield screen protectors. This provides an amazingly clear view that looks almost identical to the screen without a screen protector.

Aluminum Case

Published: 06-18-05 at 10:40 PM

Metal cases can be very helpful in protecting a device form accidental crushing or drops, depending on the severity of an accident. Both this case, made by PDair, and the other metal case, made by Innopocket, have similar features. The PDair case has some advantages over the Innopocket and the Innopocket has some advantages in other areas. I would like to present the differences and my feelings on the cases and that will allow readers to make the decision that is right for them.

ActiveSync 3.8

Published: 06-22-05 at 02:27 PM

As it is almost always a good idea to keep the latest versions of software installed, I recommend downloading and installing ActiveSync 3.8 because it should fix some problems. After doing this myself, I noticed very little difference, but there may be some big differences behind the scenes. The free download is available on Microsoft's website and the link can be found in the entire article.

SPB Pocket Plus

Published: 06-22-05 at 02:27 PM

Doesn't the lack of many simple features that are available on the desktop computer annoy you? So many simple features are missing from the PocketPC operating system and I think that Microsoft intentionally left them out for at least one reason and that may be so people will have a reason to upgrade in the future. Luckily for us, we have SPB Software House, who provides a program called SPB Pocket Plus and it attempts and succeeds at adding many of these missing features and, in the end, make PocketPC's much more easier to use and useful.

MiniBuds

Published: 06-18-05 at 10:37 PM

Part of this review will focus on comparing this product and the Javo eBuds by JAVOedge. One major difference between the two models is the price. Boxwave charges more money for their product, but the feature list may also justify this, depending on how the products are compared. One helpful feature that some may really appreciate is the fact that the 3.5mm plug is gold-plated. This feature is not found in the JAVOedge product.
