Softick has been kind enough to offer 2-3 free copies of their amazing Card Export II software for free to PocketPC Pathways users. At the end of the contest, we will determine if 3 entrants are worthy of the program, or we will just give the software to two entrants. Please read all instructions carefully to ensure a proper entry:
What: Softick Card Export II PPC Who: everyone except PocketPC Pathways staff When: June 22, 2005 through July 22, 2005 Celebration: official release of PocketPC Pathways 2.0 To enter:
A big thank you goes out to Softick! This title costs $14.95 and we plan on reviewing it soon. After using it myself, I can summarize it in one sentence: it is exactly what I have been looking for since I got my HX4700. It allows you to access memory cards (such as CF and SD) from your handheld as a memory card reader, not requiring ActiveSync. I'll explain more in the full review, which should be posted within a few days. Good Luck! Thanks for visiting PocketPC Pathways 2.0! |

1. Post general details about your pocketpc, software, hardware, and accessories that you own:
I have a Jornada 568. It's still going strong, but the on/off button has broken off (it jiggles in place). At some point, I need to see if I can fix it. I've had the device long enough to pick up lots of accessories cheap, including Pocket Keyboard, folding keyboard, extra cradles and batteries, CF wi-fi card, CF memory card, CF ethernet card, CF modem, and CF Type I to Type II adapter for the Jornada. I've installed and uninstalled lots of software during my ownership. My primary software I use include: Laridian's PocketBible Avantgo PocketInformant WordCommands Total Commander Personal Vehicle Manager Perfect Home FlexWallet PocketMusic Monopoly Trivial Pursuit nPopw vbar claunch Today's Info KitaraGenesis Repligo There are actually lots more, but those get used the most often. :^) 2. You may include original ideas for ways to use your device Not really sure I'm breaking any new ground lately. Mostly I just use it to take notes in church, in meetings, occasionally look at PIM stuff, and read news headlines. In the past, I had a webserver running on my device and ran Apache and Perl. I was trying to host a website with a search feature on my PDA. I had a problem finding a search script that would run on the limited version of apache and perl so I eventually gave up. Plus, since I don't know a lot about perl, I probably installed too many library files to run stuff and it was taking up too much room. Still, running a webserver on your PDA runs high on the geek factor! :^) |
